Sitting in between three popular Cardiff primary schools is the Beechley Drive flats, or more locally known as “the top shops”. A block of retail units with residential maisonettes directly above them.

Although many will always look at this building and think about it being a place for trouble and a typical council estate block, to the local community, it was so much more than that. The Beechley Drive Flats, and of course shops, will be remembered by most within the community for the laughter and joy it gave.
