Model T, also known as Waterton Manor is located in Bridgend, South Wales.

The building, most recently used as a pub and restaurant was incredibly popular during the 90’s when the area was booming with industrial businesses. With the decline of trade within the area though, Model T began to suffer before eventually closing it’s doors for good around 2012. We took a look around to see what was left behind before the building faced it’s final fate, demolition.

Externally, the building looked like it could reopen later that day, there were no broken windows as such and the building had missed the graffiti artists that usually target abandoned places. The inside however was not as good.

The ground floor was significantly damaged, water damage was evident but upstairs was another story. The woodwork and features were amazing and although probably part of a more modern refurbishment, it brought character to what would have been a typical abandoned pub. Oh and did we mention the indoor play area? Now that was a real treat and kept us busy for hours!
