28-YEAR-OLD ARRESTED FOR DANGEROUS DRIVING AFTER EVADING POLICE

Incident Summary

A 28-year-old male has been arrested after evading South Wales Police officers within the Fairwater area of Cardiff.

South Wales Police Road Policing Unit, NPAS, Drone Pilot and Armed Officers were all in attendance at a block of residential flats on Beechley Drive where the suspect had attempted to hide.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said, “South Wales Police roads policing unit was following a car on Saturday November 16 at approximately 10:00pm when the car failed to stop when indicated.”

After a short pursuit and with assistance from NPAS, a 28-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of failure to stop, dangerous driving, driving without insurance and possession of an offensive weapon.”
