Ibrahim, owner of Yummies Kebab, said, “This guy broke into our shop after we closed and damaged a gas pipe when escaping leaving us to pay a huge bill for the repair. We do our best to serve our community and will always give food to those in need, we open Christmas Day and give out food at no charge to anybody that needs it, it is upsetting that somebody has again tried to steal from us”.

Another resident who did not want to be named told us, “You don’t see police around here much anymore, it’s like they’ve given up on the area, they don’t care about the little crime even though it impacts us just the same as major crime. They need to be more proactive and start policing our streets better”.
