TWO BODIES FOUND AND A RIFLE RECOVERED FROM CARDIFF HOME

Incident Summary
South Wales Police are investigating the discovery of two bodies and a dog within a property on Morfa Crescent, Trowbridge, Cardiff on the 5th October 2024 at around 2.50pm.
Police have now confirmed that a rifle was seized at the scene and the victims are Christine Jeffries, 72, and Stephen Jeffries, 74.
It is reported that neighbours raised concerns for Mr and Mrs Jeffries with their daughter who discovered the bodies on Saturday afternoon.
It is alleged that a neighbour heard three loud bangs although this has not been confirmed by the investigating officers at this time.
South Wales Police lifted a street cordon on Monday afternoon but crime scene investigators and detectives remain on the scene.
